Big splash in the free agent market this morning. After long talks between Cano and the Seattle Mariners it seemed like there would be no deal made between the teams. Cano wanting a 10 year deal, and Seattle hesitant to give it to him. They ended up meeting in the middle, the M’s gave him the 10 year deal, but only $240M (Cano originally wanted $250M). Cano, 31 years of age will now be a Seattle Mariner until he turns 41. With this signing, the Mariners become a threat in the American League with pitching led by King Felix Hernandez, and young talent to surround Robinson Cano.
