I’m not an anarchist, but I love seeing turn over in the top 10. Even beyond that, 5 ranked SEC teams lost to their unranked opponents on Saturday. This weekend provided some much needed College Football Chaos.

SEC Teams Who Lost

To sum up the SEC this weekend: Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, Texas A&M and LSU all lost while Nick Saban and his Crimson tide embarrassed Brett Bielema and the Arkansas Razorbacks. Is it wrong for me to revel in the former Wisconsin’s coaching problems?

#5 Florida State spanks #3 Clemson

In an oh-so-close-you-can-taste-it game, Clemson just barely lost at home after a suffering 3 quarter scoring drought and a Seminoles 34-0 run were ended by scoring a touchdown with 13 seconds left. Since the game, Clemson coach Dabo Swinney has said, “we’d probably win five, they’d probably win five” if the teams played ten times.  Coach Swinney, don’t stop believing.

Northwestern in Trouble

It’s understandable to lost a close night game on homecoming to Ohio State. I can even understand losing to Wisconsin, who has one of the best rushing offenses in the NCAA. But losing to a team whose coach has his nearly earned a free visit on his ER frequency card ? Come on! Pat Fitzgerald has gone from being the potentially most desired coach in the nation to an insignificant but heartwarming hometown-hero story afterthought in just two weeks.

Oregon Supports Breast Cancer Awareness, So Should You!

If you caught any of the Ducks game Saturday night, it was impossible not to notice the pink helmets. I think it was awesome. Raising awareness and money in support of Breast Cancer research and victims is a noble cause. Of course, it doesn’t hurt to crush your opponents while donning pink helmets, cleats and socks. The final score was 62-38. One positive note for Washington State, quarterback Conner Halliday set a FBS record by attempting 89 passes during the game, and tied the record for completions at 58.
