After a short hiatus, the young upstart Brett is up by one on the season, so we’ll see what happens with this week’s head-to-head.

Game 1: BC @ Clemson, does Clemson win by +25?

Brett:BC hung with Florida State two weeks ago through the first half and most of the second half. They can put points up on the board, not enough to win, but enough to keep Clemson from beating them 25+

Pat:Clemson has been good, very good against subpar competition. However, BC is not subpar competition. They may have lost to Lane Kiffin’s USc, but their only other loss was to #8 Florida State. Even in that game, they hung with the team and only lost by 14. However, this is Tajh Boyd’s year. He wants to win the Heisman and get top pick in the draft. Last week he was able to have fun, this week it’s all business. It’ll be a statement game by Boyd and Clemson is going to win, by 3 TDs.

Game 2: Texas AM @ Ole Miss

Brett:Ole Miss is coming off a loss to Bama, they were not even close to making the game manageable, all because of the offense. Defense played well, only allowing 25 points to a potent Alabama offense. But the Rebel offense had a big zero. BOLD PREDICTION: My man Johnny Football throws for 4 touchdown passes and runs for 2. Texas AM beats Ole Miss by 28.

Pat:Johnny Manziel and the Aggies are too high powered of an offense to allow Ole Miss to win. After two weeks of defeat, Ole Miss is going to play as well as they can, but at the end of regulation, I don’t see them winning.

Game 3: OU @ Texas, does OU win by +14?

Brett:Sure Texas has had it’s struggles this year, losing close games, getting blown out 44-23 against Ole Miss at home. Nothing will change. OU wins by more than 14.

Pat:The Red River Rivalry, a game everyone in the Big12 will pay attention to. Texas has had a few rough games, but it should put up a good game against OU. Texas has a decent passing game which will make things interesting for a while, but I definitely see the Sooners win this one. With the elite defense the Sooners, and the Team not performing particularly well this year, I can see the Sooners winning by more than 14 points this weekend.

Game 4: Oregon St @ Washington State

Brett:Oregon State is going to go into Clarence D Martin Stadium and beats Washington State. I don’t know much about either of these teams, but it’s a Beavers vs. Cougars matchup, must see TV. Also, Washington State is coached by Mike Leach, hey Mike, how do your players like you this year?

Pat:Pac 12 North Rivals Oregon St and Washington St face off in the late, late game Saturday night. Orgeon St has one of the nation’s more best passing offenses, but are absolutely terrible on defense. The Washington St Cougars’ passing game is almost as good, but they have a significantly better defense, and are battle tested by Stanford and Auburn. I imagine this game will be a very high scoring affair, but when the smoke clears, the Cougars will be victorious.

Game 5: UM @ Penn State

Brett:Penn State doesn’t have much going for them right now, except playing for themselves. That can mean so much to a team that bonds together for victory. It’s not going to be enough to beat UofM. Devin Gardner is going to have a big game, UM will run the ball which will open the passing game for UM to go over the top of the Nittany Lion defense and get UM out with the W.

Pat:Two weeks ago, I would have assumed that Penn State would have run over an confused UM team. However, it seems like Penn State has taken a step back with their Indiana defeate and UM figured a few things out in their win against Minnesota. At the end of the day, we have two very similar teams, but UM will manage to come out on top because of their better receivers.

Results thus far:

Brett: 8-2

Pat: 7-3
