With so many top 25 match ups, something exciting was bound to happen…

#9 Georgia wins as former roommate quarterbacks face off

The big story of the game was how Zach Mettenberger was set to back up Aaron Murray when they both played for Georgia as freshmen. Due to legal situations and very poor judgement, Mettenburger was kicked off the team and eventually found himself at LSU. Despite both boys having great games, Georgia takes the 44-41 victory in an instant classic.

#1 Bama shuts out #21 Ole Miss

After Ole Miss players spent the week talking about how they’ll put points up on the Tide, Alabama put NCAA on notice with a defensive clinic. By allowing only 205 yards of offense and blanking the Rebels, I think Bama made their point.

OK State Upset by Mountaineers

West Virginia took the lead late in the first quarter and never looked back as they embarrassed the Cowboys in a 30-21 upset. It’s normal for a top 25 team to lose to the #3 quarterback of an unranked team, right?

Texas AM drops the Razorbacks

Johnny Manziel leads his team to their first SEC victory of the year. As a MSU fan, this story is even sweeter as Bret Bielema loses his first SEC game.

Buckeyes drop Badgers in B1G matchup

Ohio State proved to be too much for Wisconsin under the lights. OSU never trailed in the game. To the credit of Andersen, the Badgers stayed competitive but ultimately failed to find a way to win against the B1G powerhouse.

ND is out of the top #25

Oklahoma took advantage of a few timely turnovers in their victory over the Fighting Irish. QB Blake Bell seemed to final find his rhythm as he tossed 2 TDs and complete almost 80% of his passes. The Sooners find themselves as a front runner of Big12.

Lane Kiffin is out!

Kiffin got the boot on Saturday. According to certain press outlet, it wasn’t after the game was over, but during the second half that Athletic Director Pat Haden meet with advisers to discus the team’s coach. UCS allowed his to fly to LA with the team, but was notified of his termination while the rest of the team took the bus back to campus. Is Mack Brown next?

Clemson wins, again…

Tajh Boyd improved his Heisman resume in the match up against Wake forest by throwing for 3 touchdowns and running in a forth. I’m sure it doesn’t hurt that he completed over 70% of his passes.
